A tattoo to die for!
The York Dungeon have teamed up with renowned local tattoo artist Emma Swanton to bring you the chance to get a York Dungeon inspired tattoo!
Emma has designed 5 exclusive designs, each inspired by York Dungeon shows, and for one evening only, on the 21st October, she will be on site at the York Dungeon tattooing the lucky 6 who are selected to take part!
If you're brave enough to be permanently "marked", you will also receive a pair of free tickets to see the York Dungeon's brand new show, "Mother Shipton: The Great Prophetess" this Halloween*.
The total cost for the tattoo is £120; a £90 non-refundable deposit to the tattoo artist Emma Swanton at the time of booking confirmation, and a £30 donation to the York Dungeon's charity partner, Merlin's Magic Wand, an international children's charity dedicated to unlocking the magic of Merlin through play for children facing adversity.
There are 6 timeslots available, each lasting 1 hour:
- 5:30pm
- 6:30pm
- 7:30pm
- 8:30pm
- 9:30pm
- 10:30pm
You can choose from any one of the 5 designs, and the tattoo can be placed anywhere on either arm.
Simply select the timeslot that you would prefer, and we will then do a random draw for each timeslot for one lucky person.
The York Dungeon Torture room will then be converted to a tattoo studio for the evening.
Spaces are not confirmed until the £90 non-refundable deposit is received.
All deposits are non-refundable and non-transferrable.
Tattoos on arms only; no hands/fingers, necks, back or ribs
You must be 18+ and not be pregnant or breastfeeding to get tattooed.
Please note that once your time slot id confirmed. you are unable to change time slot and there is no option to change the date of this event.
All entrants must complete a consent form in full.
Any allergies must be provided before the tattooing begins
Entrants must agree to be photographed and videoed with content potentially used for PR and Social purposes
Waivers must be signed and agreed before any tattooing takes place
Participants will need to arrive at the York Dungeon entrance fifteen minutes before their slot
After care advice will be given on the day
What should I wear?
Wear clothing that is easily accessible to the place you are having the tattoo.
Can I get more than one tattoo?
We are doing one tattoo per person to make it as fair as possible.
How many people can get a tattoo?
There are six places available, with one lucky participant selected at random for each time slot.
How much does the tattoo cost?
The total cost is £120. This is made up of a £90 non-refundable deposit paid to the tattoo artist at the time of your booking confirmation and a £30 donation to The York Dungeon's charity partner, Merlin's Magic Wand.
What do I get for my £120?
You’ll receive your chosen York Dungeon-inspired tattoo, plus a pair of free tickets to experience the brand-new York Dungeon show, Mother Shipton: The Great Prophetess, this Halloween.
How do I enter?
Simply select your preferred time slot when entering. One person will be randomly selected for each of the six available time slots. If you are selected, you’ll be contacted with details of how to confirm your booking and pay the £90 non-refundable deposit.
Can I choose my tattoo design?
Yes! If selected, you'll be able to choose one of the exclusive York Dungeon-inspired designs.
Can I choose where my tattoo goes?
Yes, the tattoo can be placed anywhere on either arm, subject to Emma's approval and restrictions.
Can I get the tattoo on my hand, fingers, neck, back or ribs?
No. Tattoos are restricted to the arms only.
Can I change my time slot once it has been confirmed?
No. Once your time slot has been confirmed, it cannot be changed. There is also no option to change the date of the event.
Can I get a refund if I change my mind?
No. The £90 deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable.
Do I need to complete any paperwork?
Yes. All participants must complete a consent form in full and sign the required waivers before any tattooing can take place.
Will I be photographed or filmed?
Yes. Entrants must agree to be photographed and videoed during the experience, with content potentially being used for York Dungeon PR and social media purposes.
When should I arrive?
Please arrive at the York Dungeon entrance 15 minutes before your allocated tattoo slot.
Can I bring someone with me?
You are welcome to bring one person with you. However, only the selected participant will be eligible for the tattoo experience.
What happens if I’m selected?
If you’re one of the six lucky people selected, you’ll be contacted with confirmation and information on how to secure your appointment. Your booking will only be confirmed once the £90 non-refundable deposit has been paid.
You’ll then arrive at The York Dungeon 15 minutes before your allocated slot, choose your design, complete the required consent and waiver forms, and get ready to be permanently marked!
