York Dungeon Run Free Deadly Drama Workshops

During the school holidays in July this year, in partnership with Shared York CIC and St Sampson’s Centre, two of our Performance Team, Olivia and Hannah, had the pleasure of delivering two deadly drama children’s workshops for the York community 🎭

Shared York brings people together through inclusive cultural events, creative workshops and mindful experiences that strengthen belonging in York, and our Deadly Drama workshops seemed a perfect fit!

In total over 40 children attended the 2 workshops, and learned the basics of becoming a York Dungeon character!

Our Performance Manager Liv told us:
"I had an absolute blast and was completely in my happy place, doing what I love most….working with young people and using drama to inspire creativity, build confidence, and encourage them to believe in themselves.

A huge thank you to Bianca Vartic, Will Zhuang, Shared York CIC and St Sampson’s Centre for the opportunity. It was a privilege to spend the day with such fantastic young people, and I can’t wait to do it again 🖤❤️"

Bianca Vartic, of Shared York CIC, told us:

"York Dungeon has been part of York’s tourism and cultural scene for years, but to us they’ve always felt like more than a business , they’re part of the community. Their team has delivered drama workshops for Shared York CIC with real warmth and enthusiasm, giving their own time to support inclusivity work in the city. It says a lot about a business when they keep finding new ways to make what they do accessible to different community groups."
