Please note: If less than 4 guests have booked the English tour, we reserve the right to cancel it. The tickets are automatically valid for a German tour, but we will of course also rescind them and refund the money.

Admission is ONLY possible with an online ticket purchased in advance, our box office is closed!

If there's anything else you'd like to know don't hesitate to contact us via info@hamburgdungeon.com or social media!

The Hamburg Dungeon welcomes everybody! We allow you wheelchair access (up to 300kg/661lbs) throughout all or our shows with exception to the boat ride and the free fall tower. For safety reasons it's necessary to get on and off the ride on your own and to reach the next emergency exit without somebody's help.

However we cannot allow access with big electric wheelchairs.

Please note that troughout the 70-80 minutes walktrough, you will only face few seats.

Our WC near the souvenir shop has grab rails to the left and the right which can be flipped up.

Tickets are only available via our onlineshop! Our box office is closed.

We have a time slot reservation for free tickets or pre-booked tickets. You can find them in our ticket shop

For annual ticket holders we have our free time slot reservation you find in out ticket shop. You can book your time slot free of charge so that you have guaranteed access.

You can book our tickets with the peace of mind that you can rebook and reschedule them up to one day of your planned visit if something interferes with your plans. Rebooking is completely free of charge and possible for up to 5 times.

Once you have booked your ticket, you can change your visit date within a time window of one year up to one day before your visit. It is not possible to adjust the date on the day of your planned visit. To manage your booking through our booking portal, you will need your booking confirmation number and the email address used to make the booking.

Children under 15 years of age will be admitted only if accompanied by a guardian (16+). Children under 10 are not recommended to visit and must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Children under 8 will not be admitted (we don't want the poor little souls to be harmed). Please note that our little guests (aged 8-10) need an entrance ticket as well.

Generally we offer English-speaking tours on Saturdays and Sundays as well as national holidays at 10 am. Occasionally we may offer English-speaking tours in the afternoon, usually on Fridays and Sundays.

Please visit our English webshop to see when exactly our English tours take place for your desired date of visit. Tickets for the English tours can only be purchased via our English webshop, they are not available in our German webshop.

Admission is only possible with pre-booked online tickets, the box office is closed.

Please note: if less than 4 guests have booked the English tour, we reserve the right to cancel the tour. In that case, the tickets are then automatically valid for a German tour or the next available English tour, but we will also refund the money if so desired.

We don’t really want to know what you do in your spare time … but we offer you the chance to take home your private torture devices. The ‘chappy chopper’ is a great souvenir of the Hamburg Dungeon or makes a perfect present for a (male) friend.

You will find great souvenirs and gimmicks to take home in our shop – you can have your own little piece of the Hamburg Dungeon.

Our shop always opens one hour after the first admission and can also be visited without a ticket.

A visit to the Hamburg Dungeon needs to be captured on camera! At the start of your journey, we will take your picture. At the end of your experience you can check whether you like your photo and, if you do, take it home with you.

It's dark and gloomy in the dungeon and  our residents shun the light. And in order not to damage our sensitive eyes (and because it would simply be disturbing), it is forbidden to take photos during the tour.

Male and female lavatories are located in the admissions area and at the end. A toilet with disabled access is located at the end (in our shop). Please use them before entering the Dungeon – we want to make sure you don’t wet yourself.

WHEELCHAIRS

The Hamburg Dungeon welcomes everybody! We allow wheelchair access (up to 220kg/485lbs total) throughout all our shows, with the exception of the rides. Unfortunately we cannot accommodate access to guests with electric wheelchairs.

HANDICAPPED GUESTS

You will be required to stand for most of the 90-minute Hamburg Dungeon tour; seating is very limited.

HEARING IMPAIRED GUESTS

The Hamburg Dungeon experience is largely delivered by actors and voiceover audio, often in low light levels. Therefore guests with hearing difficulties may struggle to experience the attraction fully.

If you have any concerns about any part of the Dungeon tour, please don’t hesitate to ask a member of staff for advice. We are here to help.

Unfortunately, we do not offer lockers to lock in your belongings and suitcases. Please leave them at your home, hotel room or at the central station. Thank you.
