Accessibility and safety regulations
The Hamburg Dungeon welcomes everybody!
All visitors with a "B" in their disabled pass may bring along an accompanying person free of charge. A ticket is necessary for the pass holder.
Accessibility information
- There is no company parking lot
- The underground and subway train station "Baumwall" is about 600m away. There is also a bus stop "Auf dem Sande" right in front of our attraction (line 6).
- There is cobble stone pavement in the surrounding area of the Hamburg Dungeon (Speicherstadt).
- The Hamburg Dungeon is accessible in guided groups (36 people, maximum one wheelchair user per group)
- The entrance to the Hamburg Dungeon is accessible via a ramp.
- All rooms and facilities that can be used by guests are stepless (thresholds no more than 3cm)
- All doors/passages usable for guests are at least 90cm wide.
- The two rides in the Hamburg Dungeon (boat ride and free-fall tower) are not usable for guests who cannot get up independently from a wheelchair.
- There is no seating in many rooms
- One wheel chair space is available in each room
Public toilet for people with disabilities (ground floor)
- The manoeuvering spaces are: in front of/behind the door, in front of the WC and in front of the washbasin at least 150cm x 150cm, to the left and right of the WC at least 90cm x 70cm
- Grab rails are provided to the left and right of the WC
- Both grab rails can be flipped up
- The sink has limited access
- The mirror can be viewed while sitting or standing
- There is a pull cord system in place to trigger an alarm
- There is no alarm. All lights are turned on in case of emergency
- There is no inductive hearing system
- The tour of the Hamburg Dungeon is guided in groups (maximum 36 people, maximum one wheel chair per group)
- Assistance dogs are not allowed
- The entrance is visually contrasting
