We want all our guests to have an amazing experience every time they visit the Blackpool Dungeons

We complied a list of Frequently Asked Questions to help you plan your visit.

The Experience

The Blackpool Tower Dungeon is an immersive, walkthrough attraction which whisks you back through the darkest times from Lancashire's history.

The actors will embody the most notorious characters from Lancashire's history. They will tell their tales to you and occasionally ask for interactions from the audience. Our actors will not touch you during the tour and we would ask you do not touch them.

Tours last approximately 50 minutes, excluding any additional queuing times. The time on your ticket is the time you are allowed to enter the building and queue. Queue times differ depending on attendance levels and can vary from 10-30 minutes.

If at any time you need to leave the attraction, simply speak to the actor in the show you are in and they will arrange for someone to help you to the nearest exit as soon as possible.

Pregnant people are welcome at The Blackpool Tower Dungeon but please be aware this is a mostly standing or walking experience with little chance to sit down.

Also note that for your own health, the Drop Dead: Drop Ride is not suitable for pregnant people. Members of staff will be happy to show you alternative routes.

The Blackpool Tower Dungeon is fully wheelchair accessible and navigating around the Dungeon will be mainly through level pathways. However, due to the nature of the attraction, some floor surfaces are uneven.

For safety reasons, we can only admit 1 wheelchair user per tour group.

Please note that The Blackpool Tower Dungeon is not accessible by mobility scooter. However, you can hire a wheelchair free of charge here.

The Blackpool Tower Dungeon is dark, smelly, noisy and will show you the scarier side of Lancashire's history. There are areas which have enclosed spaces and will make you feel scared at some points.

If you suffer from claustrophobia or panic attacks, please speak to a member of the team about whether this attraction is suitable for you. If you do have a panic attack in the attraction, then please tell a member of our team or an actor and they will organise your exit to a more calming area.

We have 1 ride at the Blackpool Tower Dungeon, Drop Dead: Drop Ride

The minimum height restrictions for Drop Dead: Drop Ride is 1.4 metres. • Additionally, guests with larger body proportions may find the ride uncomfortable and may not be suitable to fit within our ride restraints. If the lap bar is not able to come down to a certain level, you will be asked to leave for your own health and safety.

The Drop Ride is optional and if you fancy a reprieve, you can skip the ride! it is not accessible for guests who are unable to walk unaided or guests who cannot use stairs.
