LONDON’S JACK THE RIPPER COMES TO THE YORK DUNGEON
25th July – 6th September 2015
One of the world’s most notorious serial killers, Jack the Ripper, is coming to The York Dungeon this summer in a new spine-chilling show – Where’s Jack?
The killer, whose identity remains unknown to this day, terrorised the streets of Victorian London for four months in 1888, before vanishing without a trace. It is widely believed that he travelled to York to prevent capture and continue his murderous activities.
Who was Jack?! Where did he go and did he strike again? Will The York Dungeon finally unravel the mystery? Visitors will get the latest insight from Sidney the Newspaper Boy, hear word on the street from Ann McDonald - a local ‘Working Girl’ - as well as meet the detective trying to solve one of the ghastliest murder sprees of all time!
Watch out for jumps, screams and spine-chilling fun presented in The York Dungeon’s inimitable style.
All visitors will also receive a free collectible ‘Vintage’ newspaper, dishing all the dirt on Jack the Ripper.
As part of the experience at the award-winning attraction, thrill-seekers can also enjoy an 80 minute journey through 2,000 years of York's dark history. Guided by a full cast of actors, visitors will walk through The Dungeon, moving from show to show. Shows are based on York’s real history (minus the boring bits) where you can get up close and personal with local legends including Eric Bloodaxe and Dick Turpin.
Where’s Jack? will be running for just six weeks and advance booking is essential to avoid horrible disappointment. Visit thedungeons.com/york/en/ to book tickets. Reduced prices are available for tickets booked in advance.
