The Dungeon Reviews

We spend massive amounts of time and attention to make The Dungeon experience really awesome. We write scripts, audition actors, design sets and make costumes.

The Peasants Love Us.

The San Francisco Dungeon is 200 years of history, 9 live actor shows, 1 dark boat ride and very plaguey.

Our visitors laugh, scream, and have a scary fun time. Don't take our word for it. Here are some reviews from visitors who made it out with all of their organs intact.

My husband and I are San Francisco natives who thought we'd seen all the Wharf had to offer growing up... until 2016. Last year we decided to be tourists in our own city and the family took me to Fisherman's Wharf for some Mother's Day fun. This was our first time through the Dungeon. Since then we've gone back a second time and are planning our third trip this coming Saturday. My niece wants to go for her 13th Birthday and we're more than happy to take her. The sets are realistic and the actors are very good. They engage the audience by trying to make you feel like you're part of the show. Even though I knew what to expect, I still jumped a couple of times during our second visit. The final performance is the best. Even as an adult, there's something about being in the dark that'll scare the living daylights out of you!

Went to this adventure for my daughter's birthday in September and had a blast! We were in a group of 10 and took the last scheduled time. I have lived in this city for quite sometime and never thought of this awesome place. The colorful history of San Francisco was played well by its actors. It was worth the 60-minute walk through the time tunnel of how San Francisco came about. We are planning to go back for this new attraction! I heard it is going to be an awesome ride....can't wait!

We went there just this June and the show was awesome! Me and my boyfriend was so amazed and It really gave me the creeps coz the actors are soooo in character that they really scared the hell out of me the entire show. The consistency of the acts are fantastic. So lucky to have the chance to experience it on my first time in San Francisco. It's one of the must-see and must-experience in SF. I will definitely be back!

Excellent sets, great historically accurate stories, and very talented cast made this a fantastic event. We took our nephew and he had a blast and he was very engaged the entire time. Wonderful improvisational skills by the cast members made it a fun and surprising family event for all. Thank you!

In my opinion this is one of may be the best thing in the bay's a good mix of comedy, audience participation and inducing i highly recommed this place as a must go place in the fishermans warf!

This is a truly unique and interesting attraction. It was on the top of my "must do" list on our last trip to San Francisco. I did some research and read reviews before we booked and we were not disappointed. It is a very creepy tour, the sets felt authentic and detailed and the actors were excellent. A perfect mix of scary and funny and they do a good job drawing the audience into the action. I would recommend this to anyone who loves a little scare and creepiness!

To be honest i wasn't sure what to expect. It looked interesting when i read about it online. Once i arrived and the doors opened, i was mesmerized the whole way through. The actors were amazing, the scenes were incredible, and the stories were wonderful to listen to. Worth the visit!! I'm telling everyone i know about it.

On Father's day, my husband and I went with our daughter, son in law and grandson. We had a blast. It was so much fun and so scary. We especially liked that they singled out our daughter and grandson to participate. I cannot pick out any particular room , because they were all great. A good time was had by all and we recommend it to anyone who wants a good time, with laughter and screaming. Not for the squeamish. Well done!

I went back in March to the Dungeon, and had a blast! It was really great to have the audience be a part of the show, and scare the young kids attending too. I recommend going later in the evening, when there are less people, so the actors can focus on each and every one of you in the group, instead of just a few. It was a really fun experience, and I would totally go again! It is really fun, and it's great that the actors make you feel like they have known you your whole life. It was just an epic experience, and I recommend everyone should go at least once, and remember, "Stay with your group!"

I don't like to get scared, yet this was the most scariest yet funnest place to go to if you want that adrenalin rush. I really want to say to the actors an awesome job!
