The San Francisco Dungeon | Election Day Freedom

  • Thursday November 3rd 2016

In 1900, in the State of California, only men over the age of 21 could vote in elections. Women were prohibited until 1911. Also prohibited were "Chinese, idiots, insane, embezzlers of public moneys, convicted of infamous crime, or a person unable to read the Constitution in English or write his name."

This Election Day we're letting everyone in regardless of voting status. Either show up with your "I Voted" sticker or present the handy card below provided by the Equal Suffrage League of San Francisco. This card is only good for Election Day, November 8, 2016 and must be printed and presented at admissions.
