As part of the Edinburgh Dungeon’s 2017 EGG DONATION campaign, kids were admitted free of charge to the attraction during the month of April if they were generous enough to donate unwanted (!) chocolate or Easter-themed toys. Surprisingly, none of the kids cried while on the tour. The same can’t be said for when we wrestled the chocolate out of their hands.
Ed Evans, General Manager, was delighted to handover the donated eggs to members at Edinburgh Headway Group this afternoon. As part of a week-long programme of special activities celebrating Action for Brain Injury week, members at Edinburgh Headway Group were engaged in chocolate-making (coincidence, we don’t think so!), swing dancing, and a very special visit from Flicker and Eduardo, from Therapy Ponies Scotland. If we can find a cannibal costume to fit those ponies, they’re HIRED!
Edinburgh Headway Group, a local charity, has been supporting adult with acquired brain injuries and their families for over 34 years. Based at the Astley Ainslie, they aim to empower and enrich the lives of adults who have survived an acquired brain injury by providing high-quality person-centred rehabilitation services which support both service users and their families. More information on their invaluable work canbe found here: http://www.edinburghheadway.org.uk/.
