An Evening with the Plague Doctor

Fringe 2017:
An Evening with the Plague Doctor

An Evening with the Plague Doctor is the ultimate scary soirée. Guided by the charmingly contagious Dr Rae, our resident Plague Doctor, you will meet a horrible collection of characters from 17th-century, plague-ridden Edinburgh. They’ll subject you to a set of gruesomely gastronomic, stinkingly smelly, creepily crawly and maliciously medicinal experiences that you may, or may not, survive. For Edinburgh has the plague, and the residents are dying to get out. Mix your own plague potion, taste some specially-scavenged desserts (may contain traces of human) and beware the leeches, maggots, rats and fleas nipping at your toes. Come join us for this celebration of contagion. Fun has never been so infectious.

Eat, drink, and be merry, for tomorrow*, you die.

*tonight, actually. Soz.

Tickets to An Evening with the Plague Doctor are only available to purchase through the Edinburgh Fringe website, and is for over 18s only. 4, 11, 18, 25 August at 8pm and 8.30pm.

“Had a fantastic time. 5 star performances by all the actors. Loved the way humour was entwined with the fear factor. Special mention to the cannibal family. The actors playing the mother and daughter …”
