You and your guests will be met by one of history’s grisly characters before entering the Plague ravaged streets of the York Dungeon! Live actors, shows and special effects will transport you back to those black bleak times. Are you brave enough to delve into the darkest chapters of history?

You’ll meet many characters on your journey, including a mischievous torturer, and a very unforgiving 17th Century judge, who knows exactly what you’ve been up to and isn’t impressed! The Tour and scripts can be tailored to ensure that key members of your party are singled out for ‘special’ treatment!

A welcome drink can be added to the tour, to steady your nerves before embarking on your journey into York’s gory past. You might need it!

Stag and Hen Party Package – Dungeon, Dinner and Drink!

It’s judgement day for the bride or groom!

What better way to bid your stag or hen farewell on their rose-tinted path to wedded bliss than to treat them to the finest York has to offer… Dungeon, Dinner and Drink!

You and your guests will be met by one of history’s grisly characters, and receive a welcoming glass of Bucks Fizz before entering the Plague ravaged streets of the York Dungeon (see Exclusive Evening Tour above).

It’s only right that your bride or groom enter into matrimony with a clear conscience, so let us know their sins in advance, and our judge and torturer will make sure they pay for their crimes, before the big day!

From here, you’ll continue your celebrations in the relaxing surroundings of nearby Plonkers Wine Bar, renowned for its selection of beers, spirits, wines and champagnes! This family owned bar and restaurant has an excellent reputation so you’re sure to have a great time. The package price includes a delicious 2 or 3 course meal from a set menu.

The Dungeon, Dinner and Drink Package is available for a minimum of 10 guests and prices start from £26.95 per person.

Scare School Team Ice Breaker

This unique and entertaining ice-breaker event will give your team plenty to talk about!

A fun-packed evening of activities will begin with an exclusive tour of the York Dungeon. Live actors, shows and special effects will transport you back to those black bleak times, where you’ll meet many grisly characters including the notorious Viking leader Eric Bloodaxe, and the infamous Dick Turpin.

Are your team brave enough to delve into the darkest chapters of history? After a nerve-steadying drink, it’ll be your turn! With a lesson in horror make-up we’ll soon have you looking the part and ready to learn the secrets of the resident scare experts.

Volunteers will be challenged to amuse and terrify their colleagues by entering the sets and showing off their new skills!

The evening will be concluded with a drink and buffet, and time to make yourselves look more… alive!

Scare school is priced at £38.95 + VAT per person and is available for groups of between 20 and 25 people.
