Organised Visit - Hazard Sheet

The purpose of this sheet is to enable schools / groups to use this information for the development of visit risk assessments in order to satisfy the obligations placed by the Heath and Safety at Work Act and the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations.

The following hazards have been identified as being inherent to the majority of the Dungeons.

Site specific hazards may be present on some sites due to the location an surrounding area and theming of the site.

Hazard: Fire

Recommended Control: Follow all evacuation instructions

Hazard: Slips, Trips, Falls

Recommended Control: Beware of reduced lighting; Beware of trips caused by looking in the displays and not at the floor; Beware of wet flooring; Beware of steps / stairs.

Hazard: Exhibits

Recommended Control: Please note the type of exhibits expected to be displayed in a Dungeon environment.

Hazard: Passenger lifts (where applicable)

Recommended Control: Group Organiser supervision is required for young passengers.

Hazard: High level areas - walkways (where applicable)

Recommended Control: Supervision is required. No climbing barriers.

Hazard: Coin operated rides

Recommended Control: Supervision is required

Hazard: Vending machines

Recommended Control: Supervision is required

Hazard: Electrical equipment

Recommended Control: Supervision is required. Tampering with any electrical equipment is prohibited.

Hazard: Unruly children

Recommended Control: Please report the offending group to a member of staff.

Hazard: Rides

Recommended Control: Please obey all safety instructions given by the Dungeon staff or as displayed in the ride area.

Hazard: Reduced Lighting

Recommended Control: Please be aware that reduced lighting is used within some Dungeon areas.

Hazard: Environment

Recommended Control: Due to the content of the exhibitions care must be taken to assess the suitability of young persons for exposure to this type of attraction.

Please ensure adequate supervisors are appointed for the numbers in your group. If you have any concerns or further questions then please contact the Manager of the Dungeon you require.
